Ready for Tough Missions
TuAF Commander Gen. Cumhur ASPARUK Talks to S&H
The
Turkish Air Force [TuAF] is charged with the duty of deterring
potential aggressors through the use of weapons and equipment
with outstanding destructive power and speed. In the event
of aggression against the country the TuAF can rapidly intercept
enemy aircraft entering Turkish air space and can break
an enemy country's resolution and strength by destroying
vital military targets, thus winning the war in the shortest
period of time and with a minimum of casualties. The TuAF
has been carrying out wide-scale efforts to upgrade their
organization and weapons systems and to procure contemporary
equipment in order to prepare for the future. TuAF Commander
Gen. Cumhur ASPARUK talks to S&H on the TuAF's current
activities and plans for the future.
