Nortel Networks/Netaş kuruluşu Türk iletişim şebekesinin geliştirilmesi
kapsamında geÁtiğimiz 36 yıl iÁerisinde Áok önemli bir rol
oynamıştır. İlkemizdeki en geniş özel araştırma ve geliştirme
grubuna sahip olan kuruluş, Türk TelekomÕun hizmetine sunduğu
yaklaşık 12.5 milyon hatlık telefon santral teÁhizatı, transmisyon
ve veri iletişimi sistemleriyle Türkiyenin telekomünikasyon
altyapısının modernizasyonu ÁerÁevesinde önemli roller üstlenmiştir.
Nortel Networks/Netaş, uzun dönemli geliştirme kontratları
ÁerÁevesinde tasarladığı ve ürettiği IFF, TaSMuS sistemleri
ve Sayısal Sahra Santrali ile Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri [TSK]Õnin
iletişim ağının modernizasyonunda da önemli görevler üstlenmiştir.

Nortel
Networks/Netaş is a company that has played an important
role in the development of the Turkish telecom network in
the past 36 years. Nortel Networks/Netaş has the largest
private research and development group in Turkey, and has
played a major role in the modernization of the Turkish
telecommunications infrastructure by supplying approximately
12.5 million lines of switching equipment, as well as transmission
and data com systems to Turk Telekom. The company has also
played an important role in the modernization of the Turkish
Armed Forces' [TAF] telecommunications network by providing
total solutions, such as TaSMuS, IFF and Digital Field Switchboard
systems, with long-term development contracts. S&H spoke
to Nortel Networks/Netaş General Manager M. Sait G÷ZİM to
hear his views on the history and future of the company.
