1010ncu Ordudonatım Ana Tamir Fabrika Müdürlüğü]'nda seri
imalatı tamamlanan pilot kafile ilk 8 adet T-155 T-155 K/M
Fırtına Obüsü 20 Nisan Salı günü düzenlenen bir törenle birliklerine
teslim edildiler.

The
First Battery of Fırtına SPHs Delivered
The
official delivery of the first eight serial production T-155
Fırtına [Storm] Self-Propelled Howitzers [SPHs] took place
at the 1st Main Maintenance Command [former name 1010th
Main Depot and Factory] of the Turkish Land Forces Command
[TLFC], situated in Arifiye/Adapazarı on April 20, '04.
Turkish Land Forces Commander General AytaÁ YALMAN; TLF
TraDoc Commander Lieut. Gen. Ahmet ÷ZTEKER; Commander of
the TLFC 5th Corps Lieut. Gen. Hasan İNSİZ; and Chief of
TLF Logistics Maj. Gen. YalÁın ÷Z«ER, as well as representatives
from Turkish industry and other high-ranking guests, were
present at the handover ceremony.
The opening speech of the ceremony was delivered by the
Chief of TLF Logistics Maj. Gen. YalÁın ÷Z«ER, who pointed
out the importance of the Fırtına Programme and stressed
the TLFC's desire to end its dependence on foreign sources
with regard to the procurement, production and deployment
of these types of systems.
