yardım kapsamında tedarik edilerek Hava Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı
[HvKK] envanterine kazandırılan 4 adet UH-19D [toplam 18 adet
UH-19B/D] Arama Kurtarma [AK/SAR] helikopteri ile kavuşan
Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri [TSK]; Áoğunluğu genel maksat helikopteri
olmak üzere, geÁen süre zarfında gerÁekleştirmiş olduğu doğrudan
alım ve yurtiÁi ortak üretim programları kapsamında envanterine
kazandırmış olduğu 500 civarındaki platform ile bölgesinin
en güÁlü, dünyanın ise sayılı döner kanatlı güÁlerinden biri
haline gelmiştir. |

Keep On Turning-I
The
rotary wing aircraft capability of the Turkish Armed Forces
[TAF] came with the delivery of four UH-19D SAR helicopters
to the Turkish Air Force [TuAF] in 1958, procured from the
US under the military aid programmes. Out of the almost
500 rotary wing aircraft in the inventory of TAF, general
purpose helicopters constitute the majority, most of which
were procured during the last 20 years under off-the-shelf
and local production programmes. Today, TAF has become the
strongest rotary wing power of its region and one of the
most prominent rotary wing powers in the world.
